現(xiàn)代社會(huì)將個(gè)人成長交給教育，一些人進(jìn)對(duì)了校門，他們的優(yōu)秀品質(zhì)因此鑄成；現(xiàn)代社會(huì)將個(gè)人命運(yùn)交給選擇，一些人知道選擇什么，所以他們能把握住自己的命運(yùn)；現(xiàn)代社會(huì)將個(gè)人發(fā)展交給自己，一些人能始終保持勤奮和清醒，所以就會(huì)開辟出好的前程。

幾年來的辦學(xué)實(shí)踐證明，我們做得是比較好的，這首先體現(xiàn)在投資上。國內(nèi)大學(xué)的辦學(xué)資金凡是計(jì)劃型的不是國家撥款就是銀行貸款，凡是計(jì)劃型的基本是靠收取學(xué)生學(xué)費(fèi)不斷滾動(dòng)發(fā)展，用巨額投資辦學(xué)的這在國內(nèi)的確不多見，而我們就是這樣做的，一下子將投資幾億元建起一座美麗的“大學(xué)城”。 這反映了辦學(xué)者對(duì)大學(xué)教育的鐘情。再一個(gè)就是我們對(duì)國內(nèi)用人情況的熟悉和對(duì)大學(xué)教育現(xiàn)狀的清醒認(rèn)識(shí)，這一點(diǎn)是不容易做到的，因?yàn)檫@需要既對(duì)社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)領(lǐng)域熟悉，也對(duì)高等教育了解。第三個(gè)就是我們的務(wù)實(shí)態(tài)度和有辦好大學(xué)的許多辦法。幾年來我們的大學(xué)辦得這么紅紅火火，其實(shí)限于客觀條件的制約，許多辦法并沒有拿出來。今后我們會(huì)進(jìn)一步用心用功，我們的大學(xué)將很快成為本地區(qū)的一流大學(xué)。同學(xué)們也要刻苦用功，在大學(xué)這個(gè)平臺(tái)上使自己盡快成熟成才成人，為將來的成功奠定雄厚的學(xué)業(yè)基礎(chǔ)。還是我說過的那句話，學(xué)院用心，同學(xué)們用功，用心加用功等于成功！

上大學(xué)拿文憑這是不言而喻的，因?yàn)槟壳暗拇髮W(xué)文憑的確是知識(shí)青年從事以智力為主的工作的有效憑證。既然文憑對(duì)于上大學(xué)的同學(xué)這么重要，那么拿什么樣的文憑，這個(gè)文憑的價(jià)值與含金量如何就是至關(guān)重要的了。文憑的價(jià)值與含金量既是靠優(yōu)秀的畢業(yè)生在社會(huì)上的成功來展現(xiàn)，也要靠大學(xué)母校認(rèn)真用心地去做，一點(diǎn)一滴地積累品牌價(jià)值。就是學(xué)院通過內(nèi)在的辦學(xué)質(zhì)量和外在的形象建設(shè)全面提升學(xué)院的品位等級(jí)，以使同學(xué)們未來的畢業(yè)文憑具有較高的含金量和顯著的品牌價(jià)值。
學(xué)院首先在辦學(xué)質(zhì)量上抓得比較緊，嚴(yán)格上課考勤和課堂紀(jì)律，嚴(yán)格考試管理，聘最好的教師，同時(shí)配小課輔導(dǎo)教師，與教師約談，聘學(xué)科帶頭人負(fù)責(zé)學(xué)科建設(shè)，逐步地建系等等。
同時(shí)，學(xué)院也比較重視形象建設(shè)，搞了許多有聲有色而且影響很大的活動(dòng)。只有這樣，學(xué)院的品位等級(jí)才能不斷提升。

現(xiàn)在，終于輪到了我們。我們西大現(xiàn)代學(xué)院決不應(yīng)這樣開始自己的歷程。人文追求也許還不是我們的最高目標(biāo)，但我們應(yīng)當(dāng)從現(xiàn)在起就奠定起品牌大學(xué)的文化底蘊(yùn)，以利今后向更高層次上提升。
我們應(yīng)感念親情，包括師情、友情、校情。我們還應(yīng)學(xué)習(xí)倫理學(xué)知識(shí)，準(zhǔn)確地給自己進(jìn)行社會(huì)角色的定位。這是培育人文精神的起點(diǎn)，是我們學(xué)會(huì)從人己關(guān)系出發(fā)考慮問題的基礎(chǔ)訓(xùn)練。人己關(guān)系中有理性成份，如權(quán)利、義務(wù)等，更有情感因素，如友善、愛心等。理性因素適于人己關(guān)系具有確定性狀態(tài)時(shí)，比如有明確的定量定性標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，時(shí)空質(zhì)量基本對(duì)稱等；而情感因素往往適于在人己關(guān)系不具有確定性時(shí)，此時(shí)人己關(guān)系并沒有明確的定量定性標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，時(shí)空質(zhì)量也不對(duì)稱等。這種情況下，遇事能自覺地從情感上考慮問題，我們對(duì)社會(huì)和人事的適應(yīng)就會(huì)事半功倍�！ �
我們應(yīng)尊重歷史，包括個(gè)人的成長史、家族和組織的傳承史、民族和國家的發(fā)展史等。這是培育人文精神的重點(diǎn)。尊重歷史讓我們產(chǎn)生“歷史意識(shí)”，這非常重要。有了“歷史意識(shí)”我們的思想就有了縱深感，考慮問題就會(huì)謹(jǐn)守前因后果的嚴(yán)密邏輯，就會(huì)意識(shí)到我們應(yīng)以敬重之心承前，以負(fù)責(zé)態(tài)度啟后。一個(gè)人由此便生成歷史使命感和對(duì)生命不朽的體認(rèn)。這直接塑造著我們成熟的人生觀。歷史就這樣給我們以警示和激勵(lì)，歷史就如此使我們變得深刻而厚重。
我們應(yīng)欣賞文學(xué)藝術(shù)，包括文學(xué)的、畫畫的、造型的、聲樂的等等。這是培育人文精神的要點(diǎn)。文學(xué)藝術(shù)提升著我們的情商指數(shù)，讓我們對(duì)任何人事進(jìn)行真、善、美的價(jià)值判斷，鼓勵(lì)我們對(duì)事物做完美性的追求，而文學(xué)藝術(shù)的典型形象則直接給我們以多種啟迪。這不僅能夠改善我們的氣質(zhì)修養(yǎng)，改良我們的心理素質(zhì)，而且也升華了我們的思想品位，使我們的心靈得以凈化和美化，使我們的思想境界處于高位、保持高雅。
我們應(yīng)學(xué)習(xí)哲學(xué)和宗教知識(shí)，包括思想哲學(xué)、歷史哲學(xué)、科學(xué)哲學(xué)和儒、耶、釋等。這是培育人文精神的難點(diǎn)和高點(diǎn)。難在其理解方面的深?yuàn)W，高在其解決根本問題。有了哲學(xué)和宗教素養(yǎng)，我們對(duì)世界萬物將有全面深刻的認(rèn)識(shí)，將發(fā)現(xiàn)事物之間的內(nèi)在聯(lián)系，把握事物變化的根本規(guī)律，對(duì)任何事物都會(huì)追尋其意義，并作超越性思考。這時(shí)莊嚴(yán)、崇高、神圣感就產(chǎn)生出來，愛心、寬容、正義等意識(shí)隨之形成。這種情況下，我們的成長將向著一個(gè)深刻而純粹的人逼近。
我們還應(yīng)學(xué)習(xí)心理學(xué)知識(shí)，對(duì)自己的心理狀態(tài)做主動(dòng)的調(diào)適，以有效地適應(yīng)外界環(huán)境，積極地應(yīng)對(duì)人己關(guān)系；我們還應(yīng)訓(xùn)練社交禮儀，以方便與人交往，比較容易地融入社會(huì)，等等。
人文精神的培育要求我們在大學(xué)里營造一個(gè)濃郁的人文環(huán)境。這營造看似與專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)關(guān)系不很密切，但卻化成著科學(xué)意識(shí)，訓(xùn)練著綜合素質(zhì)，以整體上潛移默化著學(xué)子，使我們的同學(xué)在不知不覺中眼界變得寬廣，胸懷趨于博大，心理發(fā)育成熟，人格臻于完善，既對(duì)物質(zhì)世界有著理性的思考，又對(duì)精神追求抱持火熱的激情。對(duì)人文精神的追求將成為我們西大現(xiàn)代學(xué)院品牌建設(shè)的重大議題，我們西大現(xiàn)代學(xué)院的學(xué)子們將會(huì)以一個(gè)大寫的人而邁向成功！

Nowadays, diplomas it’s undoubted to get from the university after graduation , as it’s an effective certificate for the graduators to hunt a job related to intelligence. Though the diplomas are very important ,the kind and the value as well as the level of diploma are more important. The value and the level of the diploma are not only embodied in the great achievements by the excellent graduators, but also accumulated by Alma Mater step by step for its Fame Value. That is to say our college depends on the good quality inside and great figure outside to promote grade, to make the remarkable qualified diplomas, having the higher level and the fare value. Firstly, our college do well in the field of management. Meanwhile, we take strint methods in the management of having classes takiny ,employing the experienced and excellent teachers; or exams, advertise qualified assistant to teach every class, even every student, invite experienced teachers to be in charge of each system, from which we found more systems step by step.
Moreover, our college pays great attention to promote image, and we hold a series of activities to prove that.

Rational factor is used when the interpersonal relation is sure, that means having a exact standard and a basic balance of time and space. While emotional factor is just opposite, that is to say all the conditions are not sure. In the case, if we can solve problems according to emotional factors, we will get twice the result with half the effort.
We ought to respect the history, including the history of personal growing, the lasting history of family and organization, the developing history of nation and country, which is considered the key points of cultivate the humanism.
